Texas22, DFW Dragon Boat Racing Club, stands to inspire and promote athletic development and team building through the sport of dragonboating. We are located on Lake Carolyn in Irving, Texas. We will start meeting twice a week for practice and team building exercises. More information to come!
The DFW Dragon Boat Racing Club is founded by the Marco Polo World Foundation. MPWF facilitates several events and activities in the DFW region to highlight the rich cultural diversity of Asian Americans and their contributions to the attractive life style offered in North Texas. Many people recognize our initial outreach event, the Dragon Boat Kite and Lantern Festival. This festival, established in 2007, brings together thousands of people every May to Lake Caroline Irving, TX to celebrate international culture. Other Outreach program activities include partnering with other DFW community organizations to share the celebration of the Lunar New Year, a new and exciting event, the International Youth Engagement Symposium. This event, focusing on mentoring combined with leadership development, seeks to match high achieving students with at risk populations.
